Commending the Buganda Kingdom for the Masaza Cup initiative which he said has enabled talent development, Nsubuga noted that the new Coaches will help the club win this year’s trophy.

Nsubuga implored fellow politicians to support football clubs in their constituencies.

“I urge all other political leaders especially the MPs in Buganda kingdom like Buweekula, Singo, Budo and so forth to strongly support the football clubs in their respective constituency where necessary so as to compliment on service delivery to their people,” Nsubuga said.

He added that “I have been the manager for Busiro FC for five years time and beyond but our major aim this time around is to take the Masaza trophy 2021 because it has never happened into our history”.

Nsubuga said they had decided to entrust the coaches with the responsibility adding that they have budgeted for their allowances and salaries according to the club’s financial potential.

“We shall still monitor their effectiveness once results of victory for Busiro FC reflect and we hope Busiro shall win the Masaza cup for this tournament,” Nsubuga said.

Nsubuga explained that the club looks at players as one of the key focus areas given the fact that most of the current players are remaining with one year’s time to complete their four-year contracts.

He appealed to the team to ensure that they win a trophy before the renewal of their contracts and recruitment of new talented young players.

Wilberforce Saaka the secretary of Busiro FC said they had brought on board 30 new players from the just concluded Ssebwana cup tournament.

” They have a two-day’s residential training upon which we shall select some players to enhance the performance of the team,” he said.
