Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi alias Bobi wine, the Presidential candidate on the National Unity Platform (NUP) entered Kagadi amidst tight security and heavy downpour.
Kyagulanyi was received by hundreds of his supporters at Musizi bridge 15Km away from Kagadi town.
He was escorted under tight security by Uganda Peoples defense Forces (UPDF) and the anti-riot personnel commanded by Stephen Kamar, the Kagadi district Police commander, from Musizi bridge to Kagadi town.
Kyagulanyi who was scheduled to address his first rally at Muhoro town Council was denied the chance by security after hundreds of his supporters took to the streets to welcome him in Muhooro town trading center paralyzing business.
This resulted into bitter exchange of words between his supporters and the police. Police was prompted to fire teargas and live bullets to disperse the rowdy supporters.
Kyagulanyi was later escorted together with hundreds of his supporters to Kagadi model Primary school where he is schedule to hold a rally.
Godfrey Bizibu a resident of Muhoro has faulted security for blocking Kyagulanyi from addressing them in Muhooro saying they were not chaotic but wanted the NUP leader to address them.
Christine Atugonza wonders why police should fire teargas and live bullets to disperse them yet they wanted Kyagulanyi to deliver to them his agenda that he thinks could liberate this country.
Kyagulanyi scheduled to address rallies in Kibaale, Kakumiro and Hoima.
