Kitara relegated after 4-0 loss to Express FC

A brace from on-form forward Erick Kambale and a goal each from left back Arthur Kiggundu and substitute Frank Kalanda handed Express FC a 4-0 win over Kitara FC in a Uganda Premier League game played this evening at Wankulukuku.

The visitors missed a golden opportunity in the opening five minutes of the game when the Express FC goalkeeper, Mathias Muwanga failed to communicate well with his defence, giving Kitara’s winger, Vincent Kasoki to sneak through but failed to score in an empty.

The home team found the net in the 8th minute through sensational striker, Erick Kambale who headed in a cross from Arthur Kiggundu.

Kiggundu found his mark 20 minutes later, slotting in a ball provided by Kambale to double the home side’s lead, also his second goal of the season.

After recess, the hosts continued to dominate the game and in the 64th minute, Kambale extended the Red Eagles lead to 3-0.
