The pomp and glamour that has always characterized the swearing-in of MPs is minimal this year due to the Covid-19 induced restrictions, but still, there are some eye-catching moments at Parliament.

With each of the new MPs required to come with three people accompanying them, choosing who from the thousands of their supporters must have not been an easy task for our new lawmakers – many opted to come with their spouses and children.

Through the gates of Parliament, many came walking hand-in-hand or side-by-side with their spouses; some lifting their young ones.

While the majority enjoyed the moment with their wives, Soroti East division’s Moses Attan Okia had an embarrassing moment as two women, believed to be his wives fought for space close to him as he took his oath.

We captured the moments through the camera.
